Mike and Karen are a loving and committed couple who want to add another child to their family. They are interested in adopting a young lady, up to age 6. They previously adopted a biracial son through Downey Side, who is now 6 years old. Mike and Karen are open to adopting a child with mild to moderate emotional, intellectual, and behavioral disabilities, including RAD. They own a large, beautifully decorated home, with a large yard and swimming pool, located in western Massachusetts. The family vacations yearly with their extended family at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. They have both a dog and a cat.

Ruth has always known she wanted to be mother, and she was fortunate enough to have had three children. Ruth has a desire to adopt children from foster care so she can open up her home and her heart to waiting children. Ruth lives in a charming Cape Cod home located on a well established street in Manasquan, New Jersey. Early on in Ruth’s life she was introduced to outdoor activities, such as ice skating and camping. As an adult, she still enjoys the outdoors, with a particular interest in hiking, kayaking, and nature. Ruth enjoys spending time with family and friends especially in the winter when she can have them over to watch football games, and cook for them. After a personal loss, Ruth will be particularly sensitive to child who has encountered trauma or loss. As an experienced parent, Ruth Martin has a good knowledge of the developmental and educational issues that children may face while growing up. Ruth is eager to adopt a child or sibling group of any race both who should be girls between the ages of four to twelve.

Beth, who is an adult adoptee, is an artist who also works in corporate relocation and Stewart is a restaurateur. This engaging couple enjoys hiking, nature, reading, scuba diving, listening to jazz music and fishing.

Beth and Stewart would make excellent parents for a sibling group of two children, one of whom should be a girl, of any race between the ages of four to sixteen. They are open to and capable of parenting children with a wide range of issues, who are not violent or assaultive. Also, since there are pets in the home, the children they adopt cannot be allergic to pets.

Their home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by a lagoon on both sides in Pt. Pleasant, New Jersey.
